This page explains what data RadarKeep receives and how it is used. The service is operated by José Real in Portugal, under the GDPR.
Extension and service
The RadarKeep extension detects and downloads video in your browser. Video files stay on your device. The RadarKeep service currently receives only the pseudonymous technical diagnostics described below. The optional library mirror is not yet available in the extension.
Video files stay on your device
RadarKeep does not host or upload video files. Downloads are processed in your browser and saved on your computer.
Pseudonymous diagnostics
When a download succeeds or fails, the extension sends a technical report containing a random installation identifier, extension and Chrome versions, error type, and processing details such as resolution, segment count, FFmpeg exit code and, for some merge errors, recent FFmpeg log lines. The report does not contain the page address, site name, video title or filename. The server accepts a fixed set of fields and rejects unexpected fields; the extension also runs FFmpeg on internal filenames. Diagnostics are always enabled in the current extension. Legal basis: legitimate interests (GDPR Article 6(1)(f)). To object, contact us below.
Optional library mirror
The library mirror cannot currently be enabled from the extension.
The service API is designed to store library metadata (title, source host and page path, quality, duration, size and date) in readable form so a linked library can be viewed on another device. The service operator could read those records. Page query strings and fragments are rejected. A private read link grants access and should be treated like a password. If and when the extension supports this feature, it will be optional and based on consent (GDPR Article 6(1)(a)); consent can be withdrawn.
Retention
Diagnostic reports are deleted after 12 months. If library synchronisation is enabled in a future extension version, active entries remain while the library is active; deletion markers are kept for up to 30 days, and libraries without updates for 12 months are deleted.
Access and hosting
Only the RadarKeep operator can access the server infrastructure. The hosting provider is Contabo GmbH, in Germany. Data is not transferred outside the European Economic Area.
Server access logs
The edge server records your IP address and the domain, but not the requested path; logs rotate daily and are kept for 14 days. The application records request paths, including public pages and API routes, but sees the server’s internal address rather than your IP. These logs are limited to 30 MB on a rotating basis. Your IP address and requested path are not recorded together. The IP is used to limit abuse and diagnose failures under the legitimate-interests basis. Public pages use no cookies or analytics; only the private developer dashboard uses a session cookie.
Your rights
You may request access, correction, deletion, restriction, objection or data portability. Uninstalling the extension stops new diagnostic reports but does not delete existing records; they expire under the retention periods above. Contact privacidade@radarkeep.com. You may also complain to the Portuguese Data Protection Authority (CNPD).
Policy changes
Material changes to data handling will be announced in the extension before they take effect.
