A SIMPLER WAY TO KEEP VIDEO

From a page to your own collection.

Keep the quality you need

Choose from the quality variants offered by a supported HLS stream. Save the version that fits your screen and storage.

Keep processing close

Downloading and MP4 processing happen in your browser. Video files are never uploaded to the RadarKeep service.

Find it again

Search and filter your local library. Open a download in your system’s video player or reveal its folder.

THREE STEPS

Play. Pick. Keep.

  1. Open your video

Visit a page with a supported HLS video. Allow RadarKeep access to that site and start playback.

  2. Choose your quality

Open the extension to see detected streams and select an available quality.

  3. Save and revisit

Download the MP4 to your computer. The local library keeps a record so you can find it later.

Creators

Keep local copies of your own recordings and published work.

Learners

Revisit lectures and tutorials when the creator allows downloads.

Collectors

Organise public-domain videos and other material you have permission to keep.

BEFORE YOU INSTALL

A few things worth knowing.

Read our privacy policy
Does the extension send diagnostics?

Yes. The current extension sends pseudonymous technical reports after successful or failed downloads. These include a random installation identifier, browser and extension versions, and processing or error details. Reports do not include the page address, site name, video title or filename. Diagnostics are always enabled in the current version; see the privacy policy for details.

Which videos can I download?

RadarKeep detects supported HLS streams (.m3u8), not every video on every site. Use it for your own content, public-domain material or videos you have explicit permission to download. It does not bypass DRM, paywalls or authentication.

Will I always get a single MP4?

Smaller downloads can be delivered as one MP4. Large downloads are delivered in a small number of MP4 parts to respect browser memory limits. Compatibility also depends on the stream format and access allowed by the site.

Why does RadarKeep ask for site access?

Access is optional and requested for a site when you allow it. It lets the extension detect HLS requests on that site. Without access, it cannot detect the site’s streams.

Does my video go to a server?

Video downloading and processing happen locally in your browser. Your downloaded video files are not uploaded to our service. The local library stores records of completed downloads on your device.

Can I sync my library?

The library mirror is not yet available in the extension. Your library currently stays local. The optional online mirror described in the privacy policy is a planned feature and cannot be enabled in the current extension.
